Product care
For a good conservation of your accessory it is recommended to keep it in dry places and away from sunlight, in fact the sun's rays could change the color of the garment. Do not leave the skin in contact with sources of moisture for a long time and do not use any type of detergent to wash it. After prolonged inactivity, pass a dry cotton or woolen cloth over the leather to restore its beauty and shine.
The possible irregularities and discolorations on the leather are elements that highlight its value.
HOW TO REMOVE AND PRESERVE YOUR ACCESSORY:
One of the most common questions, in terms of leather clothing and accessories, is certainly that relating to the treatment of stains. What happens if a cup of coffee, a drop of wine, a tip of lipstick inadvertently stains our favorite backpack?
First of all, we can advise not to improvise do-it-yourself remedies, which are not very certified, but to contact – especially for important stains – leather washing and stain removal specialists. However, something can be done to stem the damage. Cow's milk, just what we keep in the refrigerator, is a very powerful helper in removing stains on leather fabrics.
Thanks to its cleansing properties, the milk gives new life to our product, eliminating streaks and unpleasant effects. If with a dry cotton cloth – don't use water, please – pass some milk, even detergent, you may already have solved the problem.
Never dry the stains with a hair dryer, an often common mistake, rather give the leather steam, heating the water in a saucepan: the steam softens the fabric and helps the subsequent removal of the stain. Keep in mind that there are numerous specific products and sprays for leather and hides on the market, some of which are truly miraculous.
It is useful to always keep a microfiber cloth and a solution especially for leather fabrics in case you don't get caught off guard by unpleasant inconveniences.
Leather, there's no denying it, is a very delicate fabric that requires some precautions. Just adopt the appropriate solutions and don't risk rash methods - thinking of putting the bag under a jet of cold water as you could do with other fabrics.
